Teresa will not be running the 2014 Race For Life this year, she's doing this:

In June 2014, I will be walking 100km along the Grand Union canal from London to Bletchley. I am raising money for The FireFighters Charity, in memory of my Grandad, Sidney Geary, who died in September 2013 at the age of 96. He joined the Leighton Buzzard Fire Brigade in 1936, and later served in the Army Fire Service in Egypt.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity

However for those of you who are training, below is rough guide to help you out

Just to give you a rough idea of what 5km feels like, i`ve mapped out a circuit route of Caldecotte Lake, shown below.

If you stick primarily to the lower main paths nearest the lake, you'll do about 5.6km, which is about 3.48miles in old money. A really, really good time for this would be about 30mins!
